Beautiful Undiscovered France @ A Great Price. We have put this blog together as we were getting rather frustrated with the lack of web space details of this wonderful region of france, where the brits can still bag a bargain without having to go further south to other areas. This blog is for pictures and personal discovery over the coming months since buying a 'cheap as chips' property there. $$$$Go To READ FIRST Article in The Archive to set the scene$$$$.

Fantastic short trip to our house for a getaway, whats a 1000 mile round trip anyways.
Really lovely weather and really beginning to see the house as more of a home, dispite probably being less than half way through renovation work.

Feels like its getting close to be downhill.
Our neighbours invited us to their first street party which was daunting and lovely, helped by a young girls who had an english exam the following monday who was happy to help. Really great folks and good fun.
With infrequent visits, and a 100 year storm having washed away our garden shingle, crazy paving and concrete are the way ahead for us. We made use of some glass tiles found in a skip of a closing tile shop.
Heres some more pictures.

Been a While

Its been a while since i last blogged about our France second home. That happens when you get a proppa job, so heres to all the adventures since gone by on flexi time. That means less visits and slow progress, but progress we are committed to.
The house is still a thrill to fiddle with, a most excellent distraction to the rat race and easily worth every penny for testosterone power tool frenzy which it so lovingly provides. So here are a few more pics or ripping and repair from 2009/10

French farmers who live outdoors have little need of windows at home, we do what we can to 'let their be light'. This stairwell opening and diy steep frame will make use of some redundant double glazed units i have, light and warmth.

Thought i would just put a pile of pics up that made us feel good about our last trip, including lake geneva not being as far as we thought.
